TI INSIGHT SURVEY REVEALS EXTENT OF RED SEA MODAL SHIFT
With no sign of the crisis in the Red Sea abating, a survey by Ti Insight has revealed the extent to which global shippers are taking steps to avoid delays involved in re-routing ships around the Cape of Good Hope. Almost two thirds of shippers taking part in the survey said that they had switched a proportion of their shipments away from sea freight services.

EU SET TO LAUNCH A MILITARY OPERATION IN THE RED SEA
This week, European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell announced that the European Union plans to launch a naval mission in the Red Sea within three weeks to help defend cargo ships against attacks by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

GLOBAL GATEWAY: EC TO INVEST €10 BILLION IN TRANS CASPIAN TRANSPORT CORRIDOR
On 29 January, during the Global Gateway Investors Forum for EU-Central Asia Transport Connectivity event in Brussels, European Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis announced that European and international financial institutions will commit €10 billion to support and invest in sustainable transport connectivity in Central Asia.
