LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER: ELP BREAKFAST EVENT ON THE URBAN MOBILITY FRAMEWORK

The European Logistics Platform (ELP) is organising a breakfast event on “The new EU Urban Mobility Framework: what implications for freight transport and logistics?” on the 7 December at the Renaissance Hotel (Brussels) from 8:00 to 9:30 CET.

Hosted by MEP Andrey Novakov (EPP, Bulgaria), Rapporteur of the Parliament’s own-initiative report on the new Urban Mobility Framework (UMF), the event will feature a debate on the new EU Urban Mobility approach and how this effects freight transport and logistics. Speakers will talk about the importance of the integration of freight dimension into sustainable urban mobility plans to accelerate sustainable urban logistics plans and low-emissions solutions to city freight transport. The event will also demonstrate the importance to develop multimodal freight terminals and logistic platforms in urban areas.

Confirmed speakers include Philippe Crist, Advisor Innovation and Foresight of the International Transport Forum, Torsten Klimke, Head of Unit Innovation and Research at DG MOVE, Christian Kassyda, Director Transport Policies Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Mark Goossenaerts, Business Unit Director with Shipit and Ann-Sofie Karlsson from the City of Gothenburg,
