EUROCONTROL STAKEHOLDER FORUM ON SAF
On 23 September, EUROCONTROL is organising a stakeholder forum to explore the potential of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) for driving down aircraft emissions, whilst enabling business to grow sustainably.
Along with future hybrid, electric or hydrogen-powered aircraft, SAFs represent one of the most promising solutions for a sustainable aviation future. However, this potential is largely untapped as such fuels represent only 0.05% of total jet fuel consumption.
The webinar will include an intervention from Ms Flor Diaz Pulido, Head of Unit Aviation Policy at the European Commission’s DG MOVE, who will present what is planned on the regulatory, operational and manufacturing level in order to boost the production and supply of SAFs, as a means to reach the aviation sector’s decarbonisation goals.
