SMART FREIGHT WEEK
CLECAT will join Smart Freight Week on 14-16 April in Amsterdam. Smart Freight Week is an annual flagship event dedicated to advancing global freight decarbonisation through industry-wide collaboration. This three-day event will bring together leaders, experts, and stakeholders from across the freight sector to share insights, exchange best practices, and foster meaningful connections.
Over three days, discussions will focus on key topics shaping the transition to more sustainable supply chains, including the development and scaling of book-and-claim systems, emissions reporting methodologies and data harmonisation, as well as the role of digitalisation in improving transparency and accountability. Sessions will also address practical challenges around Scope 3 reporting, the use of sustainable fuels such as SAF and alternative maritime fuels, and how to ensure credible emissions allocation across complex logistics chains.
Participants will exchange best practices on implementing decarbonisation strategies, explore innovative solutions to reduce transport emissions, and discuss how collaboration between shippers, freight forwarders, and carriers can accelerate progress. The event also provides a platform to reflect on regulatory developments and the need for globally aligned standards to support a level playing field.
