LOGISTICS FOR EUROPE 2023: PARTNERING COMPLIANCE AND COMPETITIVENESS IN THE EU – IS IT POSSIBLE?

This is your last chance to register for the Logistics for Europe event, jointly hosted by CLECAT and ESC, on 16 November in Brussels!

The event entitled ‘’Partnering Compliance and Competitiveness in the EU - Is it Possible?’’ will address some of the wide-ranging of reforms proposed by the European Commission, including the EU Customs Reform and its potential impact on SMEs in the EU. Additionally, the event will explore the increasing pressure on trade to adopt sustainable and transparent sourcing practices, amidst a multitude of new reporting standards. As numerous companies fall under the scope of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), it is evident that significant changes to systems and processes will be necessary to achieve compliance. Can this work for European business and what are the limits for the EU to sustain its competitiveness?

The event includes a top line-up of speakers including Rem Korteweg, Senior Research Fellow from the Dutch Clingendael Institute and Thomas Larrieu, CEO of UPPLY to set the scene. Other speakers include Vanesa Hernández Guerrero, DG TAXUD, Javier Campillo, Spanish Permanent Representation to the EU, Werner Rens, Belgian Customs, Dimitri Sérafimoff, Director Customs Support, Nancy Lindenhovius, Compliance Officer, Wilmar Europe, Thomas Dodd, DG FISMA, Klaus Hufschlag, Senior Vice President at DHL Group, responsible for ‘ESG Reporting and Controlling, Chiara Del Prete, Chair of the Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group of EFRAG and David de Picciotto, CEO & Co-Founder, Pledge.
