ITALY ADOPTS E-CMR PROTOCOL
As of 28th June 2024, Italy adopted the eCMR protocol, marking a pivotal shift towards fully paperless goods transport by road. This move not only eliminates paper-based inefficiencies but also enhances cross-border logistics, fostering stronger EU and global connections.
In total, the eCMR protocol has been ratified by 35 countries so far: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, The Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Several other countries, such as Belgium is currently working on the
ratification of the eCMR.
