FIATA WORLD CONGRESS 2023
From 3 to 5 October, CLECAT participated at the FIATA World Congress 2023, hosted by Forward Belgium in Brussels focusing on the general theme ‘the changing world of logistics’. The Congress hosted many interesting sessions with eminent speakers and panel discussions on topics such as digitalisation, decarbonisation, the market structure in logistics, customs, cybersecurity and compliance and the human resources in transport and logistics.
CLECAT had the pleasure to meet many of its members and FIATA members as its Brussels team was present at the Congress exhibition. CLECAT’s Director General Nicolette van der Jagt presented an overview of European regulatory developments at the FIATA Region Europe meeting together with a guest speaker from DG MOVE who addressed the implementation of the Freight Transport Information Regulation (eFTI Regulation) providing recommendations on interoperability of the eFTI exchange environment with the freight forwarders IT systems.
