ESPORG CONFERENCE: EXCELLENCE IN TRUCK PARKING AWARDS 2026
During the ESPORG Annual Conference held on 4 March in Brussels, the Excellence in Truck Parking Awards 2026 were presented, recognising leading operators that set high standards for safety, sustainability and driver wellbeing. CLECAT participated in the jury evaluating the applications.
The European Truck Parking of the Year 2026 award was granted to Bapaume Truck House in France, while Truck Etape Béziers received two distinctions: the Green Truck Parking Management Award 2026 and the newly established ESPORG “Home Away from Home” Award, which recognises facilities that provide particularly high standards of comfort and services for drivers.
The awards attracted strong interest from operators across Europe, with 21 applications representing 15 truck parking locations, several of which competed in more than one category. The jury noted the consistently high quality of submissions and the clear progress made in recent years in improving services and facilities for professional drivers.
In addition to the winners, several sites were recognised as runners-up for maintaining very high service standards, including Recharge City, Le Shuttle Freight Village, and Truck Arena 31 in their respective award categories.
The ESPORG awards highlight best practices among truck parking operators and aim to encourage further investment in safe, secure and high-quality parking infrastructure across Europe. Improving truck parking facilities remains an important element in strengthening driver wellbeing, transport security and the overall resilience of Europe’s road freight network.
