CLECAT TO JOIN 2025 ITF SUMMIT ON TRANSPORT RESILIENCE

CLECAT will participate in the 2025 Annual Summit of the International Transport Forum (ITF), taking place from 21 to 23 May in Leipzig, Germany, under the Chilean Presidency of the ITF.

The ITF Summit is the world’s largest gathering of transport ministers and the leading global event for transport policy. Since 2008, it has brought together ministers from ITF’s 69 member countries, alongside heads of international organisations, parliamentarians, business leaders, and academic experts. Over the course of 2.5 days, the Summit provides a platform to explore strategic challenges facing global transport and mobility.

This year’s theme focuses on “Transport Resilience to Global Shocks.” Participants will exchange views on how to strengthen the continuity and stability of transport systems in the face of increasingly complex disruptions - ranging from natural disasters and pandemics to cyber-attacks and geopolitical crises. Discussions will address policy responses for adaptation, mitigation, and recovery, with a strong emphasis on building more resilient and sustainable transport networks.

The Summit offers a valuable opportunity for CLECAT to contribute to the global policy debate, highlight the role of freight forwarders and logistics providers, and engage with high-level stakeholders on shaping future-ready supply chains.
