CLECAT RESPONDS TO CONSULTATION ON GREENING CORPORATE FLEETS
CLECAT submitted today its answers to the public consultation on Greening Corporate Fleets. The Commission opened the consultation in February 2024 to explore possible initiatives to boost the uptake of zero-emission vehicles in corporate fleets.
In June, the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) published a comprehensive report highlighting key trends and challenges in the EU transport sector.
Last week, ESPORG publicly announced the proposal for a definition and methodology for the Green Truck Parking concept. Elaborated in the framework of the E-Parking Task force – of which CLECAT is a member – the definition includes advance sustainable and environmentally responsible practices to the operation of truck parking areas, helping to reduce the environmental footprint of road freight transport operations.
EC OPENS CONSULTATION ON DNSH PRINCIPLE FOR THE SOCIAL CLIMATE FUND
The Commission opened a targeted consultation on a guidance for Member States on the application of the Do No Significant Harm (“DNSH”) principle under the Social Climate Fund (SCF). The principle sets out criteria to ensure that EU supported economic activities mitigate their impact on the environment, based on six objectives - climate mitigation, climate change adaptation, pollution prevention control, circular economy, biodiversity, water & marine resources.
CLECAT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIRD DIGITAL TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS FORUM (DTLF)
CLECAT is pleased to announce its continued participation in the digitalization efforts as a member of the third Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF).
The European Council adopted 14th package of sanctions against Russia, reflecting ongoing enforcement needs and on-ground findings. Key measures include energy-related restrictions, particularly on liquified natural gas (LNG), targeting vessels aiding Russia's warfare and comprehensive financial sanctions.
Producers from 21 EU Member States will soon export specific plants to the US, following the European Commission's successful negotiation to lift US import restrictions.
