CLECAT CO-SIGNS VILNIUS MANIFESTO
CLECAT is pleased to be co-signer of the Vilnius Manifesto on the Future of the European Customs Ecosystem, a joint initiative developed following the Customs Ecosystem Conference in Vilnius on 7 October 2025.
The Manifesto sets out a shared vision for a European Customs Ecosystem that is unified in interpretation and enforcement, cooperative through trust-based partnerships, simplified to reduce unnecessary administrative burden, and fully digitised through interoperable systems such as the EU Customs Data Hub. The signatories underline the importance of resilience in the face of geopolitical disruptions, as well as the professional competence of customs authorities and qualified intermediaries, supported by continuous training and certification.
By endorsing the Vilnius Manifesto alongside trade associations, customs authorities, and academic institutions, CLECAT reaffirms its commitment to constructive stakeholder engagement and to contributing operational expertise to the successful implementation of EU Customs Reform.
