CEF TRANSPORT REFLOW CALL OPENS WITH €1.1 BILLION FOR STRATEGIC TRANSPORT PROJECTS

The European Commission has launched a new Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Transport "Reflow" call, making available approximately €1.1 billion in unallocated funding from previous CEF Transport calls. The call, which opened on 18 June and closes on 6 October 2026, represents the final major funding opportunity under the current 2021–2027 CEF programme.

The call supports projects contributing to the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), with funding available for both studies and works. Priority areas include rail infrastructure and cross-border connections, inland waterways, military mobility, alternative fuels infrastructure for freight transport, port and airport decarbonisation, autonomous transport systems, and border crossing infrastructure.

As the final CEF Transport call under the current EU budget cycle, the Reflow call offers an important opportunity for public and private stakeholders to secure EU support for projects that strengthen Europe's transport network, improve supply chain resilience and contribute to the sector's decarbonisation objectives.

CINEA is expected to organise an information day soon for further guidance to potential applicants.
