10TH MARKET PLACE SEMINAR: REGISTRATION OPEN
On 14 October, the 10th edition of the Market Place Seminar, organised by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA) and the International Union of Railways (UIC), will take place from 11:00 to 14:00 CET. As the event coincides with the European Year of Rail, the event is supported by CLECAT.
The Market Place Seminar offers a business-oriented platform for all stakeholders of the logistics chain, including freight forwarders, railway undertakings and their customers, to foster interactive and lively exchanges on transport solutions and business opportunities.
This year’s edition focuses on the enablers of multimodality in the year of rail, where digitalisation and corridor developments will be addressed during the interactive session, providing an opportunity for participants to hear about concrete examples of multimodal enablers around the world in the rail freight sector. As part of that, the event will debate how multimodality can support current supply chain challenges, including congestion and delays in many global supply chains, shortage of infrastructure, and pressures to decarbonize transport. The three panels will debate possible solutions to make rail freight supply chains more resilient by means of multimodal solutions, digitalisation and the development of multimodal rail freight corridors.
