SURVEY ON MODE CHOICE FACTORS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN

The Department of Transport and Regional Economics (TPR) at the University of Antwerp has launched a new survey designed to uncover what drives supply chain actors to shift from road to other modes of transport. This research seeks to identify.

  • The key factors influencing these decisions, and
  • The unique requirements, roles, and responsibilities of each actor in creating a fully integrated and flexible transport system.

Through this survey, combined with insights from the literature, TPR aims to gain a practical understanding of synchromodality - the seamless integration of multiple transport modes -requiring strong coordination and collaboration among supply chain stakeholders.

The survey takes just 10 minutes to complete, with findings set to provide valuable insights for the logistics and transport industry in its transition toward more sustainable transport solutions. Participants will also receive a summary of the key results.

The survey can be accessed here.
