SURVEY ON DIGITALISATION OF COMBINED TRANSPORT
A sector-wide survey has been launched in the context of the CEF-funded BRIDGE project, which aims to support the development of a future digital ecosystem for combined transport. The project seeks to streamline data-sharing processes across the intermodal freight sector by harmonising and standardising both physical and digital procedures among all actors involved in door-to-door combined transport operations.
The survey is designed to gather information on current data-sharing practices, identify operational challenges and opportunities, and assess how the combined transport sector may develop over the next five years. The insights collected will contribute to the creation of practical demonstrators to help intermodal stakeholders adopt digital solutions more efficiently and at lower cost.
