SAVE THE DATE: ELP EVENT ON ZERO-EMISSION FREIGHT TRANSPORT ALONG THE TEN-T NETWORK

On 3 May the European Logistics Platform (ELP) organises a lunch event to discuss the challenges of securing renewable energy supplies and grid capacity along the TEN-T network hosted by MEP Henna Virkkunen (EPP, Finland), member of the TRAN and ITRE Committee.

ELP members are pleased with recent progress on AFIR and the ongoing TEN-T revision which makes that Europe is on the road to accelerate the transformation of freight transport. However, given the targets for the use and deployment of alternative fuels and shore side electricity in ports, as well as the provision of charging stations for battery-powered electric and fuel cell trucks for long-haul heavy-duty transport, securing renewable energy supplies and grid infrastructure is a significant challenge.

The ELP is convinced that all actors of the value chain as well as the public sector need to work together to make this green transport transition a reality. The event will hear from ELP members, energy providers and the European Commission. Speakers will be announced soon.

Registration is open on the ELP website.
