LOGISTICS FOR EUROPE 2024: RETHINKING SUPPLY CHAINS
On 19 November 2024, CLECAT and the European Shippers’ Council (ESC) will host the third annual Logistics for Europe conference at the Representation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia to the EU in Brussels. Under the theme "Rethinking Supply Chains," the event will bring together shippers, freight forwarders, logistics experts, and EU policymakers to address the pressing challenges facing European logistics. The discussions will emphasize the critical need for innovation and collaboration to ensure Europe's competitiveness and sustainability.
The conference will follow internal CLECAT meetings. On 18 November, the Customs and Indirect Taxation Institute (CITI) will convene to discuss the EU Customs Reform, the EU Deforestation Regulation, CBAM, and related issues. On the morning of 19 November, the Sustainable Logistics Institute will meet to discuss strategic priorities, updates on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and EU legislative developments, including the transition to zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles.
On 20 November, CLECAT’s Board and General Assembly will convene to conclude two days of discussions on future EU policies to agree on strategic CLECAT issues.
