ITF REPORT ON CARBON PRICING IN SHIPPING
Olaf Merk of the ITF will present the findings of a new report on carbon pricing in shipping on the 21st of December (online with Q&A session). The report gives an overview of existing knowledge on carbon pricing and its effectiveness. It then looks at how carbon pricing might apply to the shipping sector and the possible impacts it may have. It assesses the most recent country proposals to introduce carbon pricing in shipping and addresses the main policy issues related to these proposals.
This report is part of the ITF Decarbonising Transport: Driving Implementation Actions project.
