CLECAT PARTICIPATES IN DTLF PLENARY
CLECAT participated in the first Plenary meeting of the new Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF), which took place on 18 October 2024 in Brussels. The event, hosted by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), brought together key stakeholders from across the transport and logistics sector to discuss critical advancements and future developments in digitalisation and data sharing for transport.
The DTLF, established in 2015, serves as an expert group aimed at fostering collaboration between the European Commission, Member States, and industry players to drive the digital transformation of the transport and logistics sector. CLECAT, alongside other key industry participants, has been playing an integral role in contributing to these discussions from the beginning.
The Plenary session was opened with a presentation on the wider policy context and scene setting for subsequent discussions, emphasising the DTLF's alignment with key European initiatives, such as the Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) Regulation and the European Mobility Data Space (EMDS). Throughout the day, participants engaged in breakout sessions focused on specific topics within the DTLF's mandate. These sessions were designed to gather insights and driving forward discussions on issues such as Paperless Transport, Federated Data Sharing Platforms and eFTI’s links with other policies. As the DTLF enters its next phase, CLECAT will continue to engage in the forum’s activities, particularly in areas concerning the implementation of digital solutions across the logistics sector.
