CLECAT PANEL ON HIGH-CAPACITY TRANSPORT AT TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS MUNICH

CLECAT will organise a panel roundtable event on high-capacity transport on the 9th May at Transport & Logistics Munich.

The roundtable discussion will offer insights into the challenges and opportunities of high-capacity transport in Europe and provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss and debate the future of sustainable and efficient logistics. Panellists will also have the possibility to discuss the interoperability of high-capacity transport in the context of multimodal transport operations. How can eco-combi’s and super eco-combi’s be deployed on European freight corridors? What will be needed from the upcoming review of the Weight and Dimensions Directive, which should allow for more flexibilities and keep the door for more innovation and smart technologies open? The session will also debate the possible transition of conventional diesel-powered EMS vehicles to zero emission technologies, with the challenges and opportunities for innovation and the need to accelerate the deployment of adequate infrastructure.

Speakers include Dirk-Jan De Bruijn, Innovation and Strategy for Mobility at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure, Bram Ewals, CEO of Ewals, Ben Kraaijenhagen, Technical Coordinator at VUB's ZEFES project, and Lena Larsson, Fellow Product Architect at Volvo Trucks. Nicolette van der Jagt, Director General at CLECAT, will moderate the event.
