CLECAT JOINS EU DOMESTIC ADVISORY GROUP OF EU-UK TCA
CLECAT has been accepted to the EU Domestic Advisory Group (DAG), under the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA). The EU DAG will be advising the European Commission on the implementation of the whole trade agreement and will work in close cooperation with its counterpart on the UK side. Participation in the EU DAG will allow CLECAT and its members to take part in discussions on the progress made in implementing the agreement and provide views or recommendations to DG TRADE regarding issues related to, among others, transport, customs cooperation and trade facilitation.
CLECAT has maintained from early on an active engagement with all key stakeholders in the Brexit process and the establishment of the EU-UK future partnership. CLECAT looks forward to undertaking an active role in the group’s efforts towards collaborative working with the Commission, industry and civil society stakeholders, and help to ensure swift and effective implementation of the EU-UK TCA to help businesses reap the benefits of the trade deal.
