PARTNERING COMPLIANCE AND COMPETITIVENESS IN THE EU - IS IT POSSIBLE?

The 2023 Logistics for Europe event brings industry representatives from freight forwarding, customs agents and shippers, as well as European law makers together in a constructive dialogue on the challenges European industry is being faced with.

The joint event is once again demonstrating the need for more collaboration between shippers and service providers in the logistics supply chain and ensure the EU remains a competitive and sustainable place for logistics.

The event will address some of the wide-ranging reforms proposed by the European Commission including the EU Customs Reform and how this will impact SME’s in the EU. In addition, the event will discuss the growing pressure on trade to source in a sustainable and transparent way with a plethora of new reporting standards. With many companies becoming subject to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) a complete overhaul in systems and processes will be required in order to become compliant. Can this work for European business and what are the limits for the EU to sustain its competitiveness?
