CLECAT JOINS ECTA’S 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT

On 4 November, CLECAT joined the European Clean Trucking Alliance (ECTA) in Brussels to mark its five-year anniversary. The event brought together policymakers, industry representatives and logistics stakeholders to reflect on progress toward zero-emission road freight and discuss the next steps for clean trucking in Europe.

ALICE INNOVATION SUMMIT

CLECAT participated in the ALICE Innovation Summit, held on 23–24 October 2024 in Brussels, which brought together European policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers to discuss how logistics can strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and sustainability in the era of the green and digital transitions.

RAILWAY CAPACITY REGULATION RISKS FRAGMENTING EUROPE’S RAIL NETWORK

The Council’s Land Transport Working Party met on 31 October to continue discussions on the proposed Regulation on the use of railway infrastructure capacity in the Single European Railway Area. Delegates reviewed the latest compromise text presented by the Danish Presidency.

EU SUPPORTS BETTER TRANSPORT LINKS IN EASTERN EUROPE, UKRAINE AND MOLDOVA

On 7 November, the European Commission signed grant agreements under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) to support new transport infrastructure projects in Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine and Moldova.
