EUDR MAY FACE ANOTHER YEAR OF DELAY

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), due to apply from 30 December 2025, may face another one-year postponement. A letter from Commissioner Jessika Roswall to the European Parliament cites serious concerns over the IT system needed to implement the law, warning of risks of disruptions that could prevent operators from complying.

On 23 September, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) published a study titled ‘’ Global Feedstock Assessment for SAF Production Outlook to 2050’’, which confirms that sufficient sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) feedstock exists to enable the aviation sector to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

CEF 2021-2027 TRANSPORT PROGRESS REPORT

On 24 September, the European Commission published a progress report on the implementation of the 2021-2027 Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the transport sector, covering activities from 2021 to 2024.
